In the April of 2000, believing in a white shirt’s power and timelessness, our founder Mehtap Elaidi built a brand offering statement shirts that could be worn both in the day and night.
Little by little, the collections grew with the addition of accompanying pieces. Now Mehtap Elaidi is an all-around ready-to-wear brand offering all kinds of items from shirts to dresses to jackets.
Though some things never change, our canvas remains thesame after all these years; a crisp cotton fabric that lives, breathes and is forever a classic.
We love to play around with volumes and innovative cuts so our collections have a heavy focus on cottons since like us, cotton is unapologetic and always voluminous.
We also pride ourselves in using the highest quality cotton in our classic black and whites season after season and building at least 60% of our collections from organic or sustainable fabrics.
So that's us, or in a gist: conscious clothes for the unapologetic women that will last a lifetime.

A Step Towards Sustainability
Mehtap's daughter Lal Omur joined the business in 2017. With Mehtap helming the creative team, Lal as Brand Director makes sure ME's branding and marketing strategies align with her mother's creative vision.
We are based in our hometown of Istanbul. Our headquarters house our sample making atelier, our office, and our showroom that we like to call Dukkan Mehtap Elaidi.
We love to play around with volumes and innovative cuts so our collections have a heavy focus on cottons since cottons are like us: unapologetic and always voluminous. We also pride ourselves in using the highest quality and/or organic cottons.
The ME Team consists of our design team, executive team and our atelier. We are hardworking and quirky and we like to have fun while we're creating and getting things done, which in our books makes us the perfect team.
We try to include more sustainable fabrics like Organic Cotton, Ecover and Tencel fabrics in our collections. Each collection we use at least 2 dead-stock fabrics. We have also limited our designs per season and only produce items that could be carried over to the next seasons and/or could be worn anytime, anywhere.
